An affiliate can generate their own unique link for any product on Amazon, and if one of their readers or followers purchases via that link, the affiliate makes a profit.
Here’s an example: Let’s say I have a large following of 200k on Instagram, and my content is largely focused on fashion. From my 200k followers, I get a decent amount of traffic to my profiles on a daily basis. I could post an Instagram story talking about how I love a new pair of sunglasses, whilst also leaving a link to the sunglasses on the page. This link will take whoever clicks on it straight to the Amazon product listing. If one or more of my followers purchases from that link, I earn money in commission.

A great way to earn a little extra cash is by reviewing products on any platform that you already have. Let’s say you have a website that focuses on a particular niche, you could create a blog series where you review products in that niche. How, you may ask? Well, Amazon runs their own fulfillment program known as Amazon FBA (standing for Fulfillment By Amazon). What this means is that you can store all your products in Amazon’s fulfillment warehouse, and Amz members of staff will pack and ship each and every order for you.
As always, we like to look at examples to break it down. Let’s say I buy and sell electric toothbrushes under my own brand. I choose to send all my toothbrushes to Amazon’s fulfillment center. Every time a customer purchases from my product listing, Amazon’s staff members will package up the product, and ship it to that customer. I make money from the sale without having to keep track of every sale. A win-win if you ask us! Amazon of course takes a cut of the sales, but it’s worth it for the ease of the process.
Give away your ebooks for free
Perhaps you have written a useful ebook or guide on niche topics? A clever way to cheat the selling system and to earn a profit from your work would be to promote the ebook for free, but have customers just pay the shipping cost.

Amazon Trade-In works by allowing members to trade in old or unused Amazon devices in exchange for Amazon gift cards.
To see if your items qualify, simply head to Amazon Trade-In and answer a few questions about your device and its condition. In most instances, you will be able to print out a free shipping label and post your item to Amazon at no cost.
Once Amazon receives your goods, allow them up to 10 days to determine the worth of the item. Following this, you will receive an Amazon gift card equal to the valued amount.
There are tons of items that can be eligible for trade-in. Sometimes, even those that are not in working condition can be approved. Bear in mind that the better the condition, the greater the value. Unfortunately not just anybody can sign up to the program though- you must be invited. In order to receive an invitation, you must be an Amazon user who leaves a large number of honest product reviews. Amazon Vine states that those leaving the most ‘insightful’ reviews are likely to be chosen. Those lucky chosen ones are called Vine Voices, and they will receive Amazon products for free, in exchange for unbiased reviews.
